DJI upgraded the internal IMU gyro, which is highly sensitive to FPV drone vibration. Turning on RockSteady will cause heavy video jitter — this is not a hardware fault.
Tip: Disable air unit stabilization before recording. Use FC gyro data & Gyroflow for post stabilization（ Tutorials need to search by online).

From the moment I received my L40 I noticed how nice the experience is. There was a bag full of extra parts, extra screws, plenty of resources if you want to, say replace with an O3.
The setup was incredibly easy as the gps, O4, barometer, PID tune were all pre-configured and all I did was configure my switches and rates and OSD layout. It comes with 4.5.2 so any of the current 3 betaflight options will work. There is a 4.6/2025.12 firmware available from Rate if desired.
ELRS version was 3.5.1 and is a custom named BetaFPV 2.4Ghz Nano RX target and flashed easily to 3.6.3 or 4.0.1.
GPS on my front porch was a little slow to acquire sats on first startup and I took after a couple minutes with only 7 sats but by the flights end I had locked 10.
I flew with a 4S 650mah and it was powerful, fast, fairly quiet, and gave me around 4 minutes of first flight performance. The tune was really solid with no noticeable jello in the goggles or any washout on quick bursts. Really nice tune out of the box!
Overall I had been resisting buying one of the RATE FPV drones from Banggood as they add in several extra % points to taxes and fees beyond what they are required to pay and it frustrates me. When RATEFPV.com opened for sale it was a much better deal and I was able to work directly with the company.
It took around 2 weeks to start shipment and another week to get to the US so not too bad. I have since emailed the ratefpv sales team 4 times and it's been a very quick response with great detail, answered all my questions, and perfect English.
